#23 Summary and my thoughts

I can't believe it! It's the end! After many days, no hours , no both, of learning and struggling at times, I have finally finished!! . It was most enjoyable at most times. I found flikr great as I learnt how to download photos from flikr to my blog. I also enjoyed Library thing, as I was most amazed at how you can catalogue books from home. Also "Wikis" and "You Tube" were fun once I was given guidance in how to perform these tasks.

Sometimes the instructions, were quite confusing though. Certain steps and processes in them were not applicable. Due to this I spent several minutes looking again and again at the screen to see whether I had made a mistake or not!

Overall I quite enjoyed the Learning 2.0 experience and would recommend it to other staff members. It would have been a little less stressful, if the timeframe had been extended by a few more weeks. Or maybe I'm just getting a little "Computered OUT!"
I am grateful for the opportunity to have done this course though. Thanks "SONGS"

#22 Audiobooks

This webpage was quite interesting too! The on-line catalogue listed many different and varied titles. I tried quite a few, but none of the titles I keyed in appeared. I chose both Australian and American titles. I found the catalogue to be of a "keyword" type arrangement, as it retrieved each word individually from the catalogue. This was most annoying as it made the job quite time consuming and most annoying! I also tried to listen to an audio book, but the computer I am using does not have Media Player 11. Obviously I need this to go on any further. Apart from these minor set-backs, the theory of this works quite well. Great Work ! This picture was taken courtesy of "Adventures in ..." and flickr

#21 Podcasts

This is a great idea, for anyone with a PC , headphones or speakers. I used to think that "podcasts" were only available on "ipods". I don't know whether it would be useful in a library situation though. Once again I have just proven that you are never too old to learn new things.

#20 You tube

Have searched the "You tube" website. Keyed in Ford Anglia, because I like the look of them.
Many different video clips to look at. I was having trouble though in linking it to my blog . Finally with some help from yet another blogger. I have mastered this process
Maybe I'm just too antiquated like the Ford Anglia . This would be ideal for libraries to help demonstrate the library's catalogue system. It would also be benefitial for the "online" services provided by libraries too! This "You Tube" was provided by "Panamesc"

#19 Discovering web 2.0 tools

I first tried to use "pandora's website" but I could not access due to me living outside the U.S. So then I looked about this site and used "Lulu" . This won 1st Prize, for the book category. This site enables people to self publish their work, as well as organise the format and layouts of their work. There is also a "selling" function, where by the novelist can sell to the public. And lastly "Connect". This enables connectivity for the author to make contact with other authors. It also offers assistance and feedback , so that other budding literaries can offer tips and "tricks of the trade".http://www.lulu.com

#18 Zoho Writer

I found this website to be full of many features. So much for the home "writer" to play and expirement with. Such as the ability to export picture, text etc. It allows people the scope to produce professional standard text from the comfort of their own homes. Bravo Zoho!

So much for thinking "Techno" and I had sorted this out. We both carried out the instructions to the letter, but the darn thing wouldn't work!!

#17 Sanbdox wiki

The video tutorials associated with this site, were quite helpul but I unfortunately had trouble in logging my blog onto the list of other Web 2.0 participants. The instruction seemed quite easy to follow, but my blog would not accept. Maybe silly old me was doing it wrong!!!! Have endeavoured to work on this exercise, but to no avail, (hmmphf!).
